Thousands of Canadian bus passengers shared their travel experiences in 2024, and those reviews helped shape a new list of the country’s best-performing bus companies.
Busbud, a global ground travel booking platform, has announced the winners of its 2025 Travellers’ Best Awards, which recognize excellence in intercity bus service across Canada. The awards are based on customer reviews collected throughout 2024 from passengers who booked trips through Busbud.
“We analyzed over 30,000 reviews we received from our customers in 2024,” said John Stepovy, Director of Partnerships for North America at Busbud. “They provided feedback on a range of factors, including the internal temperature, departure points, overall cleanliness, interactions with staff such as drivers and company employees, availability of Wi-Fi and power outlets, the value for money of their trip, the ease of accessing tickets, the condition of onboard bathrooms, the simplicity of locating their station or stop, and the punctuality of departures.
“Our goal was to use this data to identify trends and insights that could be leveraged for the Travellers’ Best Awards, but also to highlight what it is that customers value the most when choosing a bus company to travel with—which is how we decided on these five categories. We believe these insights could significantly enrich understanding of customer satisfaction and travel trends.”
2025 Travellers’ Best Award Winners:

- Best Wi-Fi Connection: Maple Bus — Honored for providing fast, reliable internet access throughout the ride, allowing passengers to stay productive or entertained.
- Best Shuttle Service: Vivo Green — Selected for dependable shuttle service and smooth transfers, especially to destinations like the Canadian Rockies.
- Most On-Time Service: Red Arrow — Awarded for consistently punctual departures and arrivals across Alberta and Ontario, along with premium onboard features.
- Best Customer Service: Autobus Maheux — Praised for courteous staff, reliable service, and a strong commitment to passenger satisfaction.
