ACE Express’ new contract covers the operation and maintenance of 49 motorcoaches for Bustang.

The contract, beginning on Nov. 1, is projected to generate up to $26.5 million in revenue in its first year.

“Contract retention remains a key pillar of our global growth strategy, and we’re pleased with the recent outcome of AAAHI’s competitive tender with the state of Colorado’s Department of Transportation,” said Clint Feuerherdt, Managing Director of Kelsian Group.

ACE Express has operated these services since 2015, using vehicles owned and supplied by the state. The new one-year contract includes four one-year extension options and offers expansion opportunities that could potentially double the scope of services provided to the state by increasing the fleet of vehicles.

The contract covers the operation and maintenance of 49 motorcoaches for Bustang and 16 vans for Pegasus, with a staff of about 125 employees.

Last year, Kelsian acquired Ace Express’ U.S. parent company, All Aboard America America Holdings (AAAHI), which also includes All Aboard America, Hotard Coaches, Sun Diego Charter, Lux Bus America and First Class Transportation.

The publicly traded Kelsian, Australia’s largest integrated multi-modal transport provider, operates bus services in Australia, Singapore, the U.S., and the Channel Islands. The company has over 30 years of experience in the passenger transport sector and leads Australia’s largest zero-emission bus fleet and electrified bus depot.

Kelsian employs over 12,500 people and operates more than 5,500 buses, 115 vessels, and 24 light rail vehicles.
