Hope, who is based in Atlanta, takes the helm on Sept. 3.

“I am truly excited to join IMG as the new president and am deeply honored to build upon the exceptional work of outgoing President Bronwyn Wilson as we shape the future of our organization for our stakeholders and partner members within the motorcoach and transportation industry,” said Hope. “The chance to work with such a dedicated and distinguished membership, renowned for setting industry standards, is incredibly inspiring to me.”

Hope brings experience in hotel, meetings, events, and association management to his new role. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Development Officer for the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), where he oversaw operations, revenue, and membership growth.

Experience in events, destination management

IMG Chairman Mike Dickson expressed confidence in the new leadership.

“While change in top leadership is a difficult process for any organization, I believe IMG is very lucky to have found Phelps to continue leading IMG in setting the standard for the network and the industry.”

Before his tenure at AAHOA, Hope led global meetings and events at Kellen, managing over 300 events annually and generating $30 million in revenues. He also owned Aspen Productions and Absolutely Atlanta, companies specializing in corporate events and destination management.

Wilson, who announced she was stepping down in March after 12 years at the helm of IMG, praised the appointment.

“The IMG network is in an outstanding position today, and Hope will continue that path of pursuing excellence and expanding the foundations of IMG that I have had the honor to lead and serve,” she said.
