Trailways has announced a new strategic partnership with Greyhound and Flixbus.
The transportation company says the alliance will add hundreds of Greyhound and Flixbus destinations to Trailways.com and Trailways.ca, giving customers more access to bus travel at a time when other travel options have become cost-prohibitive and difficult to navigate.
Starting Jan. 23, customers visiting Trailways.com and Trailways.ca will be able to purchase tickets for Flixbus and Greyhound trips, with travel dates starting Jan. 30.
“This is a historic moment for Trailways,” said Alex Berardi, President of Trailways.com. “Connectivity is the backbone of North America and a critical piece of this partnership. By working in concert with one another, we’re aligning with Trailways’ commitment to make affordable and eco-friendly transportation more accessible to travelers across North America,”.
This announcement indicates an improved relationship for the transportation giants. In the summer of 2022, Bus & Motorcoach News reported that Greyhound Bus Lines was ending its 25-year partnership with family-owned Trailways of New York and potentially other Trailway members. That breakup came less than a year after German-owned FlixMobility, the parent company of FlixBus USA, acquired Greyhound.
Benefits for rewards partners
Members of Trailways’s loyalty program, Driven Rewards, will reap the benefits of the new relationship. Driven Rewards members will be able to earn and redeem points across all Trailways partners, including Flixbus and Greyhound, when making purchases online.

New connecting services will be powered by technology from Transcor Data Services of Jacksonville, Florida. Customers looking for information about service, schedules, arrival and departure times, and fares, should visit Trailways.com or Trailways.ca.
