Trans-Bridge Lines expands fleet with clean diesel buses to support sustainability

Trans-Bridge Lines is bolstering its commitment to sustainability with the addition of four new motorcoaches, each powered by advanced clean-diesel engines.

The buses’ Cummins X12 engines are designed to maximize fuel efficiency, reducing emissions per passenger to a level lower than that of most hybrid cars.

This upgrade reinforces the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based transportation company’s efforts to offer greener transportation solutions while maintaining high standards of comfort and reliability.

The new buses, manufactured by Motor Coach Industries (MCI), will be integrated into both Trans-Bridge’s daily commuter and charter services.

Three of the motorcoaches will serve the New York City line run, each accommodating up to 60 passengers. The fourth bus, seating 56 passengers, has already made its debut at the 2024 Musikfest, transporting festivalgoers to and from the event.

“Trans-Bridge Lines is thrilled to add these new buses to our fleet,” said Mark Ertel, Vice President of Operations. “These clean-diesel engines not only allow us to serve our passengers more efficiently but also contribute to reducing our environmental footprint.”
