UMA leaders launch powerful spring agenda

“Coming off an EXPO where UMA operator attendance was up by 14 percent and the show floor was alive with traffic, the UMA executive committee is pleased that Larry Killingworth has joined as our Interim President & CEO. Larry has the right credentials to guide the staff, having been MCI’s Senior VP for Marketing and Sales, as well as having hands on experience working with motorcoach operators,” said Jeff Polzien. “Larry brings a keen industry insight and the critical marketing expertise that will build on the momentum UMA achieved at EXPO, and help us to grow our green, safe, and economical transportation alternative.”

The power-packed spring agenda includes:

The Bus & Motorcoach Industry Legislative Fly-In, April 28-29, as Congress eyes a new infrastructure bill. “We got our operators fired up about BUSREGS-21 at EXPO,” Polzien said. “Larry, working with our UMA legislative team, is going to organize an industry fly-in that will bring operators to the nation’s capital to drive that message home.” The legislative fly-in is a powerful day-and-a-half event that educates operators about the federal issues that matter, organizes them into effective groups to meet with legislators, and facilitates meetings with key legislators and their DC staff. It’s free to attend and UMA takes care of setting all the appointments and prepping operators to succeed.

The Bus & Motorcoach Industry Sales Summit, June 7-9, heads into its second year with a two-day event in Savannah, GA, to empower operators to boost revenues and gain market share.  The Sales Summit will feature experts who will challenge participants to better understand consumers, implement latest technologies, and measure success. The event will build on last year’s program and will offer participants more ways to stay focused on their goals throughout the year.

New this year, UMA’s Bus & Motorcoach Industry Education Foundation will add an opportunity to grow profitable revenue for our operators through an online learning program.
